Atiba Callins, a native of Birmingham has been practicing Physical Therapy since 2002. While a student at Tuskegee University, where he recieved his BS in Biology, he was a student athletic trainer working with all sports ranging from football to track. While there at Tuskegee, he had the opportunity to work with and observe such renowned experts in the field of Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. That later led to a career in physical therapy.

In 2002, Atiba (which he is oftened referred to as Tee) graduated from the University of South Alabama with a Master of Physical Therapy degree. While a physical therapy student, he had the opportunity to assist with studies and research in gait as well as continued training and valuable experience in both neuro and orthopedics. He also was very active in the community, volunteering for local organizations and migrant clinics.

Upon graduating, Atiba was employed by HealthSouth Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center in Birmingham where he served as a staff physical therapist for 3 years. While there, Atiba continued to provide clinical care to patients ranging from the weekend warrior to post-operative management.  He continued to volunteer on the sidelines of many sporting events and at a local high school, while gaining valuable experience in the field of orthopedics. While at HealthSouth, Atiba was also involved in the launching of the Interactive Metronome program and coordinator of the Journal Club.

Atiba joined St. Vincent's hospital in late 2004 and later One Nineteen Health and Wellness in late 2005. There, he continued to work in areas of orthopedics, neuro, and balance training.  He was the Center Clinical Coordinator of Education (CCCE) and continued to volunteer, speaking on several occasions for community outreach and local organizations such as the Lupus Foundation of America and Sickle Cell Foundation.

Atiba joined Premiere Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine in January of 2007, with the intent of continuing to provide the best patient care possible ensuring each patient of an experience not be outmatched by anyone.
